The Body Shop
Inspired by polyrhythms, their physio exercises, and music from the early 2000s, Nicole and Abby are focusing on feeling good and having fun. Created with support from Chalk Dance, Morrow, and Q7 Studios (Out Innerspace). Performed at Chalk it Up! on February 17 & 18 2024 at Morrow (Vancouver, BC).
Going Fast Going Slow
An unfinished research project that lives in both physical and digital mediums. A practice of presence, multi-tasking, duration, and working with the time-lapse feature on an iPhone. Presented at the Garden Gallery showing in September 2023 as a solo.
Really Love Me
A work-in-progress duet choreographed by Abby Hunter & Nicole Pavia. Presented at Modus Operandi Focus Group Showing in June of 2022.
Summer Wind
Nostalgia, homesickness, and dreamy moves wrapped up into a dance on screen to the tune of Summer Wind by Frank Sinatra. Made in the summer of 2020. Performed and choreographed by Abby Hunter. Videography and editing by Paige Vassos. Presented at MO’s Virtual Sunset Screening in September 2020.
